Lying in the junk yard as scrapped copper, waiting…..

Finally, these were picked up, gathered to a handicraft fair trade factory where creative artisans in Chile transform the blend, dull copper junk and paint them in bright colours with a layer of enamel. What a make-over!

The media of fused glass and enameled copper are those that few artisans dare to choose. The difficulties in working with these materials multiplies when one is in a country where utilities and transport are unreliable, and raw material are not easily obtained. Copper prices have sky-rocketed, so much so that even in the US copper wire is stolen and sold. These earrings are not just handmade art, they illustrate the lifelong commitment the artisans have to their craft.

 It’s A Date! Drop By and have some artsy fun!

The Environment Awareness Campaign 2012 was once again organised by Earthlink NTU earlier this month, from 6th February till 8th February. This year theme was “Greeneration” with the aim of educating NTU population regarding current environment issues and promote green lifestyle in every participant. It was held at Canopy K, NTU.

GreenieGenie was invited to be part of the event, by showcasing exclusively handmade eco-friendly accessories from our label, Loveco, in the a runway during the opening ceremony on the 6th Feb. Models was walking amongst the hyped up crowd, with hands swaying in the air, rhythmically to the live band on the stage.

the models are good to go!!!

Here comes our styled up models sashaying with accessories from GreenieGenie’s sub-label, LOVECO!!!!!

Uniquely only one piece per colour per design, eco friendly accessories

exclusively handmade from zippers & buttons of old bags and clothings!

Unfortunately not all the runway photos we have are in high resolution.

However, we do have them in normal resolution, and we made into a collage for each models!

 After the runway, we had our time with photoshoots!
